Introduction
Rackd ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and services.
By using Rackd, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
Personal Information
When you create an account or use our services, we may collect:
- Account Information: Email address, display name, optional profile picture, and confirmation that you meet the minimum age
- Profile Data: Display name, location (if provided), player preferences
- Contact Information: Email address for communication and support
Game Data
To provide our core functionality, we collect:
- Match Records: Game results, scores, opponents, game types
- Performance Statistics: Win/loss ratios, Rax ratings, performance trends
- Gameplay Data: Match duration, break statistics, rack wins
- Historical Data: Past matches and performance analytics
Technical Information
Rackd does not currently include advertising, cross-app tracking, or a third-party product analytics SDK. If you opt in, we process a push-notification token. Production builds use Sentry to receive crash reports, stack traces, app and device version details, and limited diagnostic context needed to fix reliability problems. Sentry is configured not to collect default personally identifying information. Our hosting and authentication provider may also process standard service logs such as IP address, request time, and authentication events to operate and secure the service.

- Send optional match check-in, confirmation, dispute, and result notifications

- Debug issues and fix technical problems
- Ensure app security and prevent fraud
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes.
Limited Sharing
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: Supabase provides authentication, database, and file storage. Zippopotam.us resolves a postal code into a city/region when you choose to use that profile feature. Apple and Google may process app distribution and purchase-account information under their own policies.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or legal process
- Safety and Security: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Rackd, our users, or others
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
Public Information
Some information may be publicly visible by design:
- Leaderboard rankings and Rax ratings
- Match results (when playing with other users)
- Public profile information (display name and general location when provided)
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Secure Servers: Data is stored on secure, regularly monitored servers
- Access Controls: Limited access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
- Security Maintenance: Dependency updates, access reviews, and issue response
- Authentication: Secure login processes and session management
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services:
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active
- Match History: Retained to maintain accurate statistics and rankings
- Service Logs: Retained according to our infrastructure provider's operational and security settings
- Deleted Accounts: Login credentials, private profile fields, avatar, and settings are deleted when the request completes. Historical match records are retained under an anonymized player identity to preserve opponents' records and rating integrity.
Your Rights and Choices
Account Management
- Access: View your profile, match history, and rating data
- Update: Modify your profile and account information
- Delete: Request deletion of your account and data
- Export: Create a portable JSON copy from the Privacy & Support section of app settings
Privacy Controls
You can edit or remove optional avatar and location fields from your profile. Your display name, city/region/country (when provided), and Rax information may appear on public ranking surfaces. Your avatar is kept on your own profile screen; your email address and postal code are not part of the public profile.

To exercise these rights, you can:

Third-Party Services
Rackd currently relies on the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Authentication, database hosting, and avatar storage
- Zippopotam.us: Optional postal-code lookup
- Apple App Store and Google Play: App distribution
- Expo: Optional push-notification delivery
- Sentry: Production crash and error diagnostics
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with.
Children's Privacy
Rackd is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete such information immediately.

International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. We ensure that any international transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and include appropriate safeguards to protect your information.
